According to Sky Sport Italia, Sassuolo have set their sights on Palmeiras’ Gabriel Veron.
The 18-year-old has a €53m release clause, but Sassuolo hope they can secure his services for a fee in the region of €15m.
The Italian broadcasters claim Manchester United are also interested in signing the attacking winger whose contract expires in June 2025.
Sassuolo are currently in talks with Arsenal and Juventus to sell Manuel Locatelli.
The sale of the 23-year-old would allow the Neroverdi to cash in around €40m.
