Sassuolo are celebrating their first ever Europa League qualification, courtesy of Juventus.
 
Milan would’ve gone into Europe if they had won the Coppa Italia Final, but Alvaro Morata’s goal in extra time gave Juve the trophy.
 
As Juventus are already in the Champions League, the European spot instead goes to the side that finished sixth in Serie A.

“We were really cheering them on,” smiled Mayor of Sassuolo Claudio Pistoni on Sky Sport Italia.
 
“It’s an incredible result, as this club has become important and is built on good values, so Sassuolo deserve this result.
 
“I am happy for (owner Giorgio) Squinzi and all those who believed in Sassuolo.”
 
This is only the Neroverdi’s third ever Serie A campaign and they have qualified for Europe, finishing ahead of Milan.
