The Neroverdi have been one of the revelations of the season, sitting 10th in Serie A above the likes of Inter, Torino and Parma and Garcia has warned his Giallorossi players about the dangers of taking the visitors lightly.

The Neroverdi have been one of the revelations of the season, sitting 10th in Serie A above the likes of Inter, Torino and Parma and Garcia has warned his Giallorossi players about the dangers of taking the visitors lightly.

“They’re doing better than expected, along with Empoli they’re the revelation of the season,” Garcia cautioned in his pre-match Press conference.

“This is not the same Sassuolo as last year, they have 15 points from their last seven games, and are unbeaten in those games.

“They’re a team that plays good football, and has a strong attack.

“Not just that, last season we didn’t beat them, even when we weren’t playing every three days. It will be a difficult game.”

The Lupi have conceded nine goals in 13 games so far this term, despite only conceding 25 in the whole of last season’s Serie A.

However, the French Coach bristles at suggestions his team face problems in defence.

“We’ve conceded six goals in 12 games, that means we haven’t conceded many,” Garcia insisted.

“When a team hasn’t conceded many goals that means it has defended well.

“Apart from against Inter – who have good strikers – we’ve gone six games in a row without conceding any goals so for me the defence isn’t the problem.

“I think we should look at it another way, we’ve had so many injured, I’ve had to change the team so many times.

“The defence is completely different from last year, but is still one of the best defences in the League, the second best in fact.

“At the moment we only have two points less than at this point last year.

“With so many problems, and five Champions League games to contend with, to be able to make it to the same points as this point last year [with a win over Sassuolo] is incredible for us and for Roma.”
