Rudi Garcia praises Morgan De Sanctis, and insists he’s happy with his goalkeeping options at Roma.
The Giallorossi have been linked with a move for Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech in recent days, but after De Sanctis signed a contract extension yesterday, Garcia says he’s happy with what he’s got.
“It had been planned for some time. I’m very happy,” Garcia told a Press conference before the Sassuolo game of De Sanctis' renewal.

“It had been planned for some time. I’m very happy,” Garcia told a Press conference before the Sassuolo game of De Sanctis' renewal.
“Morgan has been playing with us for a year-and-a-half, he’s a great guy and for the squad that’s very important.
“I’ll put [Bogdan] Lobont to one side for a minute, he helps [Lukasz] Skorupski as De Sanctis does and we have two quality goalkeepers.
“We have two strong goalkeepers, and I’m delighted to have them. We don’t need anyone else.”
The former Lille Coach also spoke about players who have been struggling with injury, saying Kevin Strootman could make a first start after nine months out with a knee injury.
“Kevin is ready, he’s come on as a substitute twice already. He’s not at 100 per cent yet, so he has to train and to play.
“We know he’s one of the best players in Europe, everyone in Europe would love to have him. He’s still trying to get back to top mental and physical condition. Will he play? You’ll see tomorrow.
“Maicon may very well play all of our next run of games.
“As for [Leandro] Castan, Leo is out of intensive care, we exchanged text messages this morning and I’m glad the surgery went well.
“We need to have patience now, I’m going to go and visit him as soon as possible.”
