Higuain could also return from Chelsea to possibly link up once again with his former Coach, while Paulo Dybala yesterday admitted that he wanted to stay with the Old Lady.

La Gazzetta dello Sport also reports that La Joya could be the player that benefits the most from the possibility of Sarri’s arrival and could have a new lease of life, as he fell out of Allegri’s favour.

The paper also claims that Pjanic has retracted his desire to leave the club through his agent Fali Ramadani, as his relationship with Allegri soured, but he now wants to stay and fight for his place.

Meanwhile, Rugani would no doubt be happy to see his former Empoli Coach arrive at the Allianz Stadium, as the 24-year-old defender played every minute of every game in their season in Serie A together.

Sarri repeatedly tried to sign Rugani at Napoli and then Chelsea.
