Maurizio Sarri does not believe Juventus will make enough mistakes to allow Napoli to fight for the Scudetto.

The Bianconeri already hold a four point lead at the top of Serie A, following their win over Empoli and the Partenopei’s disappointing defeat to Atalanta on Sunday.

“We paid for the nervous energy expended in the Champions League,” Sarri said when asked what he believed had led to his team’s downfall against La Dea.

“We paid for the nervous energy expended in the Champions League,” Sarri said when asked what he believed had led to his team’s downfall against La Dea.

“The commitment of the boys was total, but subconsciously we had lost and left behind a lot of energy on Wednesday.

“Against such physical teams, on a pitch that isn’t very well suited to us, we have our limits.

“The biggest step we have to take is this one – how to come up with solutions in games like this.”

Sarri was then asked about the gap already present between Max Allegri’s Juve and the chasing pack.

“They [Juventus] are of a different level and they are having a different level season. We have never had the idea that our season should be parallel to theirs.

“We are young, we need to develop. These are important days, we are getting to know how important these matches close together are.

“If they commit different errors, yes we will be there. But I don’t think they will do that.

“I’ll say something else – it’s the last time I will respond to a question about Juventus.”
