“Higuain is becoming what I always thought he should be, in other words the best striker in Europe and perhaps the world,” Coach Sarri told Mediaset Premium.

Yet it could’ve been 22, but Higuain let Lorenzo Insigne take the penalty.
“We said before the game that Higuain was the penalty taker with Insigne second. They must’ve reached an agreement between themselves. Evidently Gonzalo didn’t feel like it.
“Today I saw a team that was eager to get a result, but we allowed Samp too much and with their quality they transformed the chances into goals.
“There’s no point looking at the table now, as there’s a long way to go. We are happy with what we are doing. Of course, this week remains bitter because of the error I made in the Coppa Italia.
“The strain of that match with Inter also meant we went too deep late on today and wasted more energy. The sensation we had the game in hand made us less determined and more lazy.”
Napoli are now six points clear of Fiorentina and Inter in joint third position, while Juventus host Roma tonight. Is Sarri still not discussing the Scudetto?
“Our objectives have not changed. The club confirmed as much by moving on the market for promising young players.”
Sarri had a blazing touchline row with Inter Coach Roberto Mancini this week and their peace was brokered by TV show Le Iene.
“Today I wore Mancini’s scarf because it was a promise I made to Le Iene and I was happy to keep it. This was my gesture of peace.”
