“It’s an important game for us, we’re coming off a bad performance,” Sarri noted in a Press conference, referencing the defeat to Atalanta.

“It’s an important game for us, we’re coming off a bad performance,” Sarri noted in a Press conference, referencing the defeat to Atalanta.
“Roma are very good in attack, so it’s a complicated game. I hope the team is good, Bergamo might have left us with some uncertainty.
“We absolutely have to grow in these games, we have to manage games better but this is a young squad and maybe these mistakes will happen.
“We have to get into the mindset of considering all games to be equal.
“Luciano Spalletti said we play the best football in Serie A? Spalletti is a Coach of the highest level, it’s enough to think back to how Roma were before he arrived.
“We need to grow in some games where we haven’t expressed ourselves to the maximum, we have to grow because we have a lot of youngsters.
“We need to fulfil our potential, and if we can do that we can open up an important cycle.”
Sarri described Juventus as being “on a different planet”, but the Coach insists he wasn’t surrendering the Scudetto to the Bianconeri.
“I always get asked the same thing about Juventus, and I always say the same thing. But because I said it after a defeat, that gets interpreted as a surrender?
“I’ve always said that Juve are like Bayern [Munich] in Germany, Paris Saint-Germain or Barcelona. Then you all wrote that Juve are stronger.
“Interpreting that as a surrender really got on my nerves, I’m not a quitter, if I was then I’d never have gone from the lower Leagues to Serie A.”
