Davide Santon has spoken of his happiness as he prepares to complete a return to Inter, and thanks Newcastle.
The 24-year-old left the Nerazzurri in 2011 to join Newcastle United, and has gone on to make close to 100 appearances for the Magpies.
“Life is strange, I never imagined I’d come back,” Santon wrote on his official Facebook page.
“I thank Newcastle and all the fans for these three and a half years together, we had many good times and this city and this team will forever be in my heart.

Santon will fly to Milan today, before undergoing a medical and signing on loan with an option to buy for around €4m.
