Fiorentina received mixed news, as Mario Alberto Santana will be out for three weeks, but it's not as bad as first feared.

When the Argentine pulled up during training on Friday with a thigh strain, he was expected to be out of action for up to two months.

Today's tests confirmed the first grade strain “with partial ligament damage,” but it is not as serious as previously thought.

Santana will be sidelined for at least two to three weeks and therefore miss Sunday's clash with Juventus, plus games with Cagliari and Udinese.
