Sinisa Mihajlovic warns Sampdoria are ‘not satisfied’ and will try to fight for a Champions League place.

The Blucerchiati have enjoyed a remarkable season, and are currently eight points behind Roma in the third and final Champions League slot.

“Sampdoria does not have a Champions League squad,” the Coach admitted in his Press conference ahead of the Cesena game.

“Other teams are stronger, but we’re in the top half of the table and at the moment we’re in the Europa League places.

“It’s almost impossible [to make the Champions League], but we’re not satisfied, we’ll do our best and see where we are at the end of the season.”

That determination means that Mihajlovic’s side almost certainly have to beast Cesena tomorrow, and the Serbian Coach admits that brings its own pressure.

“Cesena is a game which might seem easy, but it’s actually difficult because there’s only one result for us, and that’s a win.

“For them, they’re almost in the last chance saloon, so they’ll come here trying to take him a positive result which they badly need.

“We must have the courage to try and win the game and, while not relaxing and underestimating them, know that if we play the way we know we can, we’ll win.”
