English reports say Southampton and Crystal Palace are battling to sign Juventus midfielder Stefano Sturaro.
The Daily Mirror writes that Saints have had a £12.7m (€17m) bid rejected for the 22-year-old as they look to replace unsettled midfielder Victor Wanyama.
The outlet also believes that fellow Premier League outfit Palace are interested in the Italy Under-21 international.
Sturaro has scored one goal in 11 league appearances for the Bianconeri this season and moved to Turin from Genoa in February 2015 for around €5m.
