Alexis Saelemaekers is reported to be training separately from the rest of the Milan squad, as the Rossoneri look to move the 24-year-old on before the end of the summer transfer window.

According to reports from Calciomercato.com, the Milan first team took part in a mixed training session with the Primavera squad on Thursday, but Saelemaekers did not take to the field at Milanello.

Throughout pre-season, Stefano Pioli has rarely called upon Saelemaekers, handing him just three appearances from the substitutes’ bench in the Rossoneri’s summer friendlies.

Calciomercato writes that the Belgian winger’s situation is now comparable to those of Mattia Caldara, Fode Ballo-Toure and Divock Origi, players who Milan are keen to move on as quickly as possible.

However, Saelemaekers will only depart if an appropriate offer comes in, which has not been the case as of yet.

There has reportedly been a recent enquiry from Besiktas, but no official proposal has been lodged.
