Roma director Walter Sabatini reveals Rudi Garcia is “bitter” at the Genoa steward’s accusation and doesn’t regret selling Jeremy Menez.

The Coach is able to sit on the touchline for tonight’s game with Milan because his two-match ban was suspended on appeal pending further investigation.

A steward at Marassi claimed Garcia had physically attacked him after the final whistle of Genoa’s 1-0 defeat, then partly changed his version of events in a letter.

“Garcia is not relieved. More than anything he is still disappointed and bitter, as he was accused of something he didn’t do. It was a scandalous incident,” Sabatini told Sky Sport Italia.

This evening Roma face one of their former players, as Menez started his Serie A career at the Olimpico and was sold to Paris Saint-Germain for €8m. Does Sabatini regret that decision?

“No, he is a great player and an exciting, unpredictable one. When I arrived, he asked us to be sold, so it was a mutual decision.”
