The Giallorossi host the Dutch League outfit tomorrow evening in the Europa League Round of 32 first leg at the Olimpico.

The vistors’ Coach saw enough of the Lupi's Champions League group stage campaign earlier this season to comment on their tactics ahead of tomorrow’s match.

“Roma have two styles – they can play football very well, but they also know how to keep other teams from playing,” Rutten has said in today's Press conference.

“We don't have any particular concerns. Roma are composed of great individual players, who are all capable of making the difference.

“They are tough, like Italian teams always are. We'll have to look out and make the best of our opportunities.

“We'll try imposing our own game, and playing with our own style. We want to do that to our best.

“I don't know if playing the return leg at home makes for much of an advantage.

“Playing a game of this level makes for an excellent experience.

“We're particularly strong at home, but to keep up with the game we'll have to earn a good result against this team – a team that is second in Serie A and has international experience.”

Rutten was also asked whether Italian football could be said to have a problem with its youth academies, on from Arrigo Sacchi's controversial statements that Italian youth teams have 'too many black players'.

“Of course that varies depending on the country. It's affected by questions of budget.

“In many countries people are overly critical and have no patience.

“In Holland this doesn't happen, we judge what a player can do, regardless of their age.

“We necessarily have to invest on the development of our youth academies. [Jordy] Clasie is a good example,” he said, in reference to the Feyenoord midfielder who was also present at the conference.

“It's true that we lost against Heracles [2-0 last Saturday], but Europe is something else. We have shown in the past that we can hold our own.

“As for my formation, I will be expecting my strikers to cover both phases of the game, but they will also have to be creative.

“The fact that 5,000 supporters came down from Holland shows that our team is beloved by our people and by our supporters, who have gone ten years without enjoying such an important game.”

In closing, Rutten was asked whether he was worried about tomorrow's game.

“No. We want to go on. That's our objective, and on our best days we have achieved some important targets.”
