RB Salzburg Coach Marco Rose revealed he has “prepared several changes” to face Lazio in the Europa League quarter-final.

The first leg was a 4-2 thriller at the Stadio Olimpico and the decider is in Austria on Thursday at 20.05 UK time (19.05 GMT).

“We prepared several changes compared to the first leg,” said Rose in his Press conference.

“After playing with a 3-5-2 formation, we now want to try something different. We worked out new methods to escape pressing and break into spaces, so we hope to cause Lazio more problems.”

Rose was asked if the fact Lazio are just days away from Sunday’s Serie A showdown with local rivals Roma in the Derby della Capitale could be a distraction.

“That question irritates me. Are you trying to suggest Lazio don’t care about our game? At times the media act like we are already champions of Austria, then after one defeat this type of question emerges again.

“I have absolute faith in my team, we are analysing the situations and taking it one game at a time. I don’t believe Lazio are underestimating us.

“What am I supposed to do, say yes, I’m sure they are underestimating us, we’ll beat them 4-0 and should prepare the champagne to celebrate? This question makes me angry, because Roma have nothing to do with tomorrow’s match.

“Do you really think Lazio won’t give their best or try to go all the way in the Europa League? That they won’t try to win a European trophy and gain automatic Champions League qualification?

“I’ve no idea if the derby is more important to them than our game and I don’t care either.”
