Former Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo is without a club after leaving Manchester United, so is training alongside Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid.

The veteran Ballon d’Or winner terminated his contract with Manchester United by mutual consent just before the World Cup kicked off in Qatar.

His career hit more problems during the tournament, as he was dropped to the bench by Portugal and his national team was eliminated in the quarter-finals by Morocco.

With that competition now over and no club to return to, Ronaldo has been spotted training at Real Madrid’s Valdebebas facilities.

Although Ancelotti and his players were present, CR7 trained separately from the group and the chances of him reuniting with the club are very slim indeed.

Ronaldo spent nine years with Real Madrid before moving to Juventus in 2018.

That included a Champions League winning campaign under Ancelotti in 2014.

“What’s the problem? I don’t know, perhaps he still feels like he is 20 years old because he feels well. He’s been taking care of his body for his entire career but the competition is stiffer now,” Ancelotti told the Corriere dello Sport earlier this month.

“I managed him for two years and never had problems. On the contrary, he solved my problems. He scores a goal per game, how can you consider him a problem? He trains well, he takes care of every detail. To me, it was very easy to coach him. He is an exceptional player.”

He has been linked with Saudi club Al-Nassr and several Major League Soccer outfits, but is said to be waiting in case there is an offer from Europe.
