According to multiple reports in Italy, Cristiano Ronaldo could join PSG in a swap deal with Mauro Icardi if Kylian Mbappé signs for Real Madrid.

The French striker has a year left in his contract with the Ligue 1 giants and has already informed his club that he doesn’t want to sign a new deal.

Real Madrid are strongly interested in securing the services of the 22-year-old, either this summer or next season when Mbappé could move to the Santiago Bernabeu as a free agent.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, PSG may sell Mbappé for €160m this summer, replacing the 2018 France World Cup winner with Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese star is expected to return from holidays on Sunday and begin his pre-season with Juventus on Monday.

His contract with Juventus expires in June 2022 and although his agent Jorge Mendes has been trying to offer him to other top European clubs, he hasn’t found any suitor willing to pay his client’s €31m-a-year salary.

PSG appear to be a possible destination for Ronaldo if Mbappé joins Real Madrid.

The Portuguese talisman would move to Paris in a swap deal involving Mauro Icardi, according to Il Corriere della Sera, Il Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport.

However, the Turin-based paper reports Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus is also being monitored by the Bianconeri, who have sounded out the player. Pep Guardiola’s side value Gabriel Jesus at €50-60m, while Juventus want to sign the player on a two-year loan with option or obligation to buy.
