Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini will remain out of action for at least two games due to another thigh injury.

The Italy international had missed five Serie A games in December due to an injury in his right thigh. According to Il Corriere dello Sport and Sky Sport Italia, he will be forced to the sidelines in the next two league matches for the same reason.

He remained out of action in yesterday’s 1-0 win over Cagliari at the Stadio Olimpico.

It remains to be seen if Pellegrini will be available for the match against Genoa on February 6 after the break.

Pellegrini will miss the next two matches against Lecce in Coppa Italia and Empoli in Serie A.

The 25-year-old has scored nine goals and delivered five assists in 20 appearances across all competitions this term.

Pellegrini extended his contract with the Giallorossi in October. His new deal at the Stadio Olimpico runs out in June 2026.

  1. The good news here is that he should be ready and available for Italy in time for the playoffs in March.

  2. Ya good luck with that who knows how many will be injured and with chiesa out they absolutely have no chance at making it

  3. Hey MikE, as you already know that Italy is not going to make it. Do you mind letting me know which teams will be playing in the final at the WC and who is going to win it? Also, all the groups and scores et cetera.
