The Rossoneri slipped up with a surprise 2-1 defeat to Atalanta on the weekend and have gone ‘in ritiro’ to a training retreat ahead of Saturday’s Juventus clash.

The youngster denied that there is a personality problem in the team and targeted a strong end to the campaign.

“Ritiro? It’s the first time it’s happened to me,” Romagnoli said to Corriere della Sera.

“It’s not a punitive choice, but a week to pass together to stay united, looking each other in the face and preparing ourselves best for the match with Juve.

“The match in Bergamo? The attitude was right, we went in front straight away, then we conceded on the 45th minute and there was a decline.

“Personality problem? No. If Milan choice us that’s to say that they saw in us the right personality to play at San Siro. But it’s true that we messed up a lot, above all lacking concentration with the smaller teams.

“Few points after the international break? I don’t know, it could be that coming back from the national team you relax subconsciously, but by now they are matches in the past.

“Now there are seven games left and we have to play them like seven finals. The objective is the Europa League: the Champions League is distant, but we want direct access to the Europa League, so fourth place.”
