Sky Sport Italia are now claiming Roma will pull back unless Manchester United agree to take on a substantial chunk, if not even most of, his salary for that period.

The former Nino Maravilla is now 30 years old, but first made his mark in Serie A with Udinese from 2008 to 2011.

Following transfers to Barcelona and Arsenal, he joined Manchester United in January 2018 for €34m, but last season contributed only two goals and four assists in 27 competitive games.
