Roma are still waiting for concrete offers to arrive for Nicolo Zaniolo but are also happy to keep him until the summer, reports highlight.

The 23-year-old Italian forward has grown unhappy in the Italian capital, disappointed with the lack of a new lucrative contract and the fans’ anger at his poor performances.

Zaniolo asked Roma to sell him this month and did not take part in their last two league outings, missing the first due to an apparent bout of flu and the second after asking to be excluded.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport, Roma coach Jose Mourinho is growing convinced that Zaniolo will continue to be his player until the summer, which is why the 23-year-old trained with the squad yesterday and will continue to do so for the time being.

The Giallorossi want to ensure Zaniolo leaves on a definitive basis and so are only open to outright purchases or loans with an obligation to buy clause.

Yesterday in Trigoria, Zaniolo had a double training session, carrying out physical therapy in the morning and on-pitch work with the squad in the afternoon. In between, he met with his family and representatives for lunch, discussing his situation and possible destinations.
