Zdenek Zeman has reflected on preparing to relive the same fixture that 18 months ago saw him sacked by Roma.

The veteran tactician was removed from the Giallorosso bench following his team’s 4-2 defeat at home to Cagliari, the team he is now preparing to take to the Stadio Olimpico in Week 3.

“It was a game that started badly, with many errors,” Zeman has reflected this week on Videolina Sport.

“We tried to fix them, but then our goalkeeper created a goal for them by himself. Let’s say that the atmosphere was ready [for his exit as Coach].

“I have lived in Rome for 20 years, I have many friends both from Roma and Lazio, but for me all opponents are the same and I always want to win.”

Zeman once more discussed his past with Juventus, who in 1998 he accused of doping their players.

“It is not me against Juventus, also because I was born a Juventino. As a child I slept with the shirt of Juve.

“I am against those who have done wrong to football and those people worked for Juve.”
