The Danish international has been mentioned as a possible target of Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini, a player he knows well given their time together at Palermo.

It's being suggested that Roma have had a €6m offer rejected by the German club for a stopper who cost them almost double that a year ago.

However, it's now being claimed that Sabatini could try to bring the player in on a loan with an option to buy understanding.
