The FIGC suspended Fonseca for Roma’s next two Serie A games after he ranted at the referee during Roma’s controversial 1-1 draw with Cagliari last Sunday.

However, Gazzetta dello Sport reports the Giallorossi are having none of it and have already decided to file an appeal.

Although the ban is unlikely to be completely revoked, the newspaper notes they would like it to be reduced to just one game.

The Coach would also benefit from having immediately recognised his mistake, as per the recent case of Torino boss Walter Mazzarri.

As it stands, the Coach’s assistant Nuno Campos will be in the dugout against Sampdoria and Milan.
