Roma are one of the clubs interested in picking up free agent Dan-Axel Zagadou, who has reportedly made his contract demands clear.

The 23-year-old French centre back, who is a product of Paris Saint-Germain’s youth system, left Borussia Dortmund last month after his contract expired, ending a five-year spell in Germany. Zagadou is now looking around for the right place to take the next step of his career and he has no shortage of suitors.

As reported by La Repubblica, Roma are still keen on making a move for Zagadou, who is asking for a four-year contract worth around €2.5m net per season.Β

The Giallorossi have already been attentive to the free agent market this summer, picking up Paulo Dybala, Nemanja Matic and Mile Svilar on free transfers.

Updates are expected soon, with Roma working hard to provide Jose Mourinho with a strong enough squad for a top four battle.

Zagadou made 91 appearances across all competitions for Borussia Dortmund, scoring four goals and helping the side win a DFB-Pokal and a DFL-Supercup.

  1. So far Roma have made excellent signings apart from Mile Svilar whom I have never heard of so cannot say but unless Zagadou has improved tremendously from the player I used to watch at Dortmund before Covid, this will be a huge mistake as he was absolutely rubbish then.

If Bailly could stay fit he will be an excellent acquisition. Yes he can be very rash at times but he is a very good defender

  2. Mou is a tactician of defensive play, so not strange to build a strong back 4, as the main backbone to his game strategy. With fine tune attacking options he already has, will definitely be interesting to see the results of the first 4 games. I hope he keep the attacking flair of Roma, despite his efforts to have a strong defence, but please not full dull defensive play over 90 minutes.
