Talisca spent the last two years on loan at Besiktas from Benfica, but despite the Brazilian being a hit in Turkey, he will seek pastures new this summer, with Roma having reportedly expressed more than an interest.

“Life has always presented me with great challenges,” he wrote on Instagram.

“I’ve always sought to have a lot of courage, willingness and faith in God to confront them one by one.

“One of the most recent was to wear the Besiktas shirt. I had no idea what I would find in Turkey, but my feeling was good from the start, and so it proved…

“I was received indescribably in every way. I loved Istanbul, the Turkish people, the fans of our club and every part of Besiktas.

“I dedicated myself daily. I made history with the club and they made history in me. Everything and everyone that I’ve encountered in these last two seasons will be forever marked in my heart.

“Thank you, God! Thank you, Turkey! Thank you, Besiktas! I’ll be forever a Black Eagle flying around the world and cheering for the club!”

Talisca, 24, scored 37 goals and assisted 14 in 80 appearances for BJK, winning a League title, and has also been linked with the likes of Wolverhampton Wanderers and Manchester United.
