Roma director general Mauro Baldissoni has cooled the Scudetto enthusiasm created by the side’s sensational start to the season.

The Giallorossi have won all seven games so far this term in Serie A, scoring  20 goals and conceding just once in the process.

“The Scudetto is not assigned in October so there is no sense in talking about it right now,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “We have to deal with conditions and causes, not with the effects.

“Winning the championship would be an effect of the points that you collect and matches you win. We work to ensure that Roma go into matches in a position to win them.”

The Giallorossi, for the third season running, were forced to hire a new Coach and Rudi Garcia has been a revelation.

“Garcia is proving to be an excellent Coach and that's exactly what we hoped for and expected,” Baldissoni added.

“Evidently we want to have a relationship with Garcia for as long as possible, but now is not the time to talk about his contract. That can be discussed later.”
