This week’s Roma-Napoli tie will be decided in midfield, says Italian Under-21 boss Gigi Di Biagio.

The two will meet on Friday night as the capital side’s 100 per cent League record will be tested by the second placed Azzurri.

“I’m expecting a great game,” Di Biagio told Radio Mana Mana Sport. “They are two sides who play good football.

“It will be a 4-3-3 against a 4-2-3-1 and I think the game will be won in midfield.”

Although Napoli are two points behind the Olimpico outfit in the standings, Di Biagio insists the result will matter more to the hosts.

“The game is more important to them because it could definitely launch them into the Scudetto race,” added the former capital enforcer.

Roma have won all seven of their League games so far and caught the eye in Week 7 with a 3-0 triumph at Inter.

“Roma played the perfect game at San Siro,” Di Biagio recalled. “Everything seems to be coming off for them, their movement looks well-honed and they are perfect in every department.

“If they continue like this then the championship will be over in three months. We just need to understand how they will react if they go into difficulty.”
