Stefano Pioli is again being linked with the Roma job almost two years after holding talks with sporting director Walter Sabatini.

The tactician was a contender for the Giallorossi hotseat in 2011, but the capital side eventually hired Luis Enrique and Pioli opted for Palermo.

However, after his excellent work at Bologna which recently saw him handed a new deal until 2015, Pioli is back on the Magica radar.

The Corriere dello Sport claims that the former midfielder is an option given that Massimiliano Allegri, their first choice, looks like he may stay at Milan.

Roma are expected to hire a new Coach given that current boss Aurelio Andreazzoli will remain as part of the technical staff, but will not be confirmed as first team Coach.

Andreazzoli replaced Zdenek Zeman in February.
