Roma are thinking about making a move for Wilfried Zaha this summer, with Jose Mourinho being a big fan of the Crystal Palace star.

The 29-year-old Ivorian forward seemed destined for the jump to a top club years ago following his explosive growth with Palace, but putting pen to paper on a long contract renewal forced any interested clubs away, with the South London side refusing to accept a low fee for their star player.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Roma are considering making a move for Zaha this summer and internal talks are now ongoing. No official offer has been sent yet to Crystal Palace but one could be formulated in the coming weeks, with things still at the early stages for the time being.

The 29-year-old forward’s contract with the South London side expires next year, making a deal for him significantly more accessible than years prior. Talks could start between the two clubs later this month.

  1. Cant see crystal palace selling him for anything less than £45m-yes pounds not euros – roma you will only buy him if you sell zaniola,

but to be honest,as your board is very cheap i can see you lot go for Jesse lingaard instead

  2. What a waste of money this would be. It will be 50 million pounds at least and for a 29 year old and have no re-sale value what so ever. I hope this is just pure paper gossip. Forza Roma.
