Roma have reportedly made a move for Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka, offering €12m plus €3m in add-ons for the Switzerland international.

Sky Sport Italia reports the Giallorossi have submitted a bid to sign the 28-year-old and that the midfielder wants to join Jose Mourinho at the Olimpico.

The offer from La Lupa is, according to the broadcaster, worth a total of €15m, with €12m outright and €3m in add-ons.

Xhaka has starred for Switzerland at EURO 2020 this summer, and dropped a massive hint that he’s moving to Roma after the win on penalties against France in the last 16.

Sky Sport Italia spoke to the Arsenal player after the game and he was asked if he could give the interview in Italia, and Xhaka replied: “Italian? Not yet…

“It’s always interesting to learn a new language. I learned English, why not Italian? Let’s see what happens, everyone know what Roma represents.

“Today, I’m an Arsenal player, then I’ll decide my future after the Euros.”

Mourinho has made it known that he wants Xhaka at Trigoria and Sky claims the player is very close to joining the Portuguese at Roma.
