Among the clubs believed to be interested in the player there's Roma, who would represent a return home for Cerci as the player originates from the Giallorossi youth camps. However it is doubtful whether he would find much more playing time with the club from the capital than he did in Milan.

Genoa would be able to give him more space, and they may have an advantage in their good relationship with Milan's joint-CEO Adriano Galliani.

Finally, Bologna are said to be after the player to compose an all-Italian attacking trident, with Cerci, Mattia Destro, and Emanuele Giaccherini.
