Roma have been fined €50,000 after their supporters were found guilty of racially abusing Milan players.

Some sections of the Giallorossi support were heard chanting towards Mario Balotelli and Kevin-Prince Boateng during their 0-0 draw at San Siro on Sunday.

The game was momentarily called off by the officials, before captain Francesco Totti urged fans to stop the chanting.

The capital club have since hit back, calling the behaviour of their supporters ‘unacceptable’ in a statement, but Lega Calcio officials have seen fit to fine the team for action of their tifosi.
