Roma have announced contract extensions for Edoardo Bove, Ebrima Darboe and Nicola Zalewski, but Riccardo Calafiori is heading to Cagliari on loan.

The Giallorossi made the triple deal on the same day, confirming all three this afternoon.

All three players have already made their debuts for the senior squad in 2021 and are expected to get more playing time going forward under Jose Mourinho.

Bove and Zalewski, both 19 years old, have signed deals until June 2025, while 20-year-old midfielder Darboe’s contract will run to June 2026.

“The extensions of these three contracts serve as further evidence of the approach the club wants to continue taking with its young players,” said general manager Tiago Pinto.

“As a club we will continue to put our faith in the raw talent that comes through the academy system, guiding them as they develop as players and instilling in them the right work ethic and approach to their craft.

“I also hope these three renewals will provide further motivation – and satisfaction – to all those who dedicate their work to the club’s youth sector, and that this proves to be just the beginning of a productive approach that brings with it many more great rewards.”

Meanwhile, another Roma youth team player seems set to go elsewhere in search of regular playing time, as it is reported he has reached an agreement to join Cagliari on loan for the rest of the season.
