The Giallorossi won’t be going to Kiev to face Real Madrid for the trophy, but they did top their group ahead of Chelsea and Atletico Madrid, knocked out Shakhtar Donetsk and Barcelona.
They even inflicted the first defeat of the season on Liverpool, as the second leg ended 4-2 at the Stadio Olimpico.

According to Calcio e Finanza, Roma will end up with circa €81m from UEFA between bonuses and market pool share.
On top of that, they’ll add around €18.2m from ticket receipts on home games, which take their total to circa €99.2m.
This means that for the first time since 2012-13, Juventus won’t be the top earning Italian club in Europe.
The Bianconeri went out to Real Madrid in the quarter-finals and are set to receive €77.8m in bonuses plus €14m from ticket sales for a total €91.8m.
