The Champions League return leg kicks off tomorrow evening at 19:45, at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Spalletti has made scant use of Dzeko so far, traditionally fielding more mobile strikers like Stephan El Shaarawy, Diego Perotti and Mohamed Salah.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, however, the Coach will try a new solution tomorrow evening. He will field all three of his quick forwards, but place Dzeko just in front of them, in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

The highly offensive combination represents a last-ditch attempt at equalling the 2-0 defeat to the Spanish team in the first leg, played at the Olimpico.

At the same time, Spalletti will have to make do without defender Antonio Rudiger, who is down with a muscular injury to his right thigh. His place will be taken by Ervin Zukanovic.

Radja Nainggolan also reported some pain in his ankle and his groin, and may be rested against the Merengues.
