Napoli's Gonzalo Higuain is back in the race for the Golden Shoe, against Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo, Barcelona's Luis Suarez and Benfica's Jonas.

With his goal last night against Chievo, the Argentinian finally found the net again after five blank games and some criticism by President Aurelio De Laurentiis.

The performance also puts him back on track to win the European Golden Shoe, the award for the most prolific striker across the leagues of the continent.

The standings for that prize are currently led by Cristiano Ronaldo, whose four goals against Celta Vigo allowed him to climb back up on the rankings and reach 27 goals.

But it's tight as Higuain is only one goal behind him, on par with Suarez and Benfica, all of whom are currently at 26. Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski is a little behind them with 23 goals.
