Roma directors Walter Sabatini and Mauro Baldissoni were spotted flying to London today, fuelling Mattia Destro to Tottenham reports.

Sabatini had already visited the UK last week, but this morning a fan photographed both the director of sport and director general with their luggage at Fiumicino Airport in Rome.

It’s reported the main reason for the trip is Tottenham’s €20m offer for centre-forward Destro, who could propose Vlad Chiriches or Sandro in exchange.

There is also the Mehdi Benatia situation, although his departure from Roma is increasingly unlikely after a meeting with the Moroccan international’s agent.

According to French newspaper L’Equipe, if Benatia was to quit Serie A, it would only be for Bayern Munich, leaving Chelsea and Manchester United in the cold.

Other England-based targets for the Giallorossi include Manchester City pair Stevan Jovetic and Matija Nastasic.
