Roma are on the verge of securing Borja Mayoral on loan from Real Madrid for €1m with an option to buy for another €13m.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Corriere dello Sport and more, the deal is practically done.

The forward first has to extend his current contract with Real Madrid, which is due to expire at the end of the season.

He can then join Roma on loan for a fee of €1m, with option to buy in June 2021 for a further €13m.

Mayoral had been linked with Lazio earlier in the transfer window, but they opted for Vedat Muriqi instead.

The 23-year-old Spaniard spent the last two seasons on loan at Levante UD.

Before that, he also had a loan spell at Wolfsburg.
