Roma are expected to tie up Salih Ucan today, sign Ashley Cole to a two-year contract and then turn attention to Urby Emanuelson.

The Giallorossi’s transfer activity took off at the weekend with Ucan’s confirmed arrival in the capital on the Sunday evening to undergo medical tests.

The Turkish midfielder is seen as set for those tests this morning, before putting pen to paper on a deal that will see him move from Fenerbahce on an initial two-year loan worth €2m per season, with a €11m purchase option.

Former Chelsea left-back Ashley Cole is also expected to arrive at Fiumicino Airport this morning for similar medical tests set for the afternoon and evening.

The 33-year-old’s agent has made a point of telling British media that no contract is signed yet, but the star is expected to commit to a two-year deal worth €2.3m a season, with an option in place for a third.

Meanwhile, Milan utility man Urby Emanuelson, who also emerged at the weekend as in apparent talks with the club, is expected to arrive on Tuesday, report the Gazzetta dello Sport.
