Multiple reports in Italy claim exams undergone by Paulo Dybala on Friday morning ruled out muscle lesions, but La Joya remains in doubt for the next Serie A match with Hellas Verona.

The Argentinean striker sustained an injury in the first half of Thursday’s Europa League clash against RB Salzburg.

As reported by Calciomercato.com and Sky Sport Italia, exams undergone this morning excluded a muscle lesion for the former Juventus striker, who, however, must deal with a flexor problem which will be assessed in the coming days.

Dybala may not be fit to start against Hellas Verona on Sunday, but José Mourinho and his staff hope the Argentinean World Cup winner will recover in time for the second leg against the Austrian side at the Stadio Olimpico in Roma next week.

Dybala has had a pivotal role for the Giallorossi this season, scoring 11 goals in 22 appearances across all competitions.
