Santos President Modesto Junior Roma says there will be ‘no major difficulties’ with Milan over Robinho’s transfer.

The striker is on loan in Brazil from the Rossoneri, who are still paying 40 per cent of his wages, and said yesterday that he wants to remain with Santos.

Speaking to Globoesporte, the club President revealed dealing with the Diavolo won’t be a problem, with the problem being that the player is still owed seven months of payments for image rights.

“What will it take for Robinho to remain at Santos?” Roma considered.

“We have to pay him what he’s owed, and we’re working on it. The deal with Milan is easier, I don’t foresee any major difficulties.

“The player’s will is crucial in this deal.

“An exchange? I can’t name names, there is a lot of work to do with Milan. I’m going to prove that we’re a club which is open to doing business with the European clubs.”
