After some investigation, numerous Italian sources including Tuttosport and Sky Sport Italia confirmed there are “advanced negotiations” between the two clubs.

The Corriere dello Sport claim agent Fernando Felicevich is already in Munich to discuss personal terms.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claim Mario Götze was requested as part of an exchange deal, as he’d fill the trequartista role that Max Allegri has been asking for all summer.

However, Sportitalia insist it’s a cash only transaction with Juve requesting €40m and the offer from Bayern Munich initially stands at €30m plus bonuses.

Sky Sport Italia and their pundit Gianluca Di Marzio, usually the most reliable when it comes to Italian transfer reports, suggest the offer is already at €40m and Juventus want €45m.

A key figure in the whole affair is Bayern Munich director Michael Reschke, who brought Vidal to Europe for Bayer Leverkusen back in 2007.

The midfielder spent four years in the Bundesliga before moving to Juventus in 2011 for €12.5m.
