Schalke 04 have a deal to sign Marko Pjaca on loan from Juventus for €1m plus €0.5m in performance-related bonuses, it’s reported.

Multiple sources, including Sky Sport Italia, state today’s negotiations have reached a positive conclusion and it could be announced within 24 hours.

Bundesliga outfit Schalke wanted to include an option to buy as part of the agreement, but Juve absolutely refused, as they see his future in Turin.

Schalke will pay his full salary while he is in Germany.

The Croatia international has not played for the senior squad since sustaining a serious knee injury in May, but impressed with the Primavera youth team, contributing two goals and three assists in four games.

Juve confirmed they are ready to loan him out in order to regain match fitness with regular playing time.

The 22-year-old already has 13 senior caps for Croatia, scoring one goal.
