After having purchased right-back Achraf Hakimi from Real Madrid, the Nerazzurri have now started looking to bolster their options at left.

Tuttosport claims the Beneamata have come to an agreement with the former Roma player, who wants to return to Italy.

It’s thought that a return to Serie A could help Emerson reclaim his place in the Italy squad, as the 25-year-old has struggled to convince coach Frank Lampard at Stamford Bridge this season.

But the newspaper claims the two clubs are not agreeing on the price tag, as Marotta tries to get a discount on the €30m requested by Chelsea.

The problem reported could be linked to coach Conte, who didn’t part in the best ways with director Marina Granovskaia and the reports in England claim the woman in charge is not interested in doing the former Chelsea coach any favours.
