Canadian media are adamant Juventus rebel Sebastian Giovinco has already agreed a move to Toronto FC.

The Atomic Ant has refused to sign a contract extension and will therefore become a free agent in July.

According to Sportsnet.ca, Giovinco has agreed terms on a four-year deal after his entourage met with MLS officials this week.

The rumour had already emerged in Italy, but Canadian sources claim the move will formally be announced as early as Monday or Tuesday.

According to Sportsnet.ca, Giovinco has agreed terms on a four-year deal after his entourage met with MLS officials this week.

The wages proposed are believed to be $7m per season and tellingly Toronto FC “declined to comment” when contacted by Sportsnet.

Giovinco’s agent has repeatedly stated the player will remain at Juventus until June and then decide his future autonomously, rejecting any attempt to sell him in January.

Toronto FC already have ex-Roma midfielder Michael Bradley and US international Jozy Altidore.

Giovinco turns 28 later this month and has protested at the lack of playing time at his hometown club Juventus.

He shone at Empoli and Parma, but has been given few chances to do the same in Turin.
