Atalanta boss Gian Piero Gasperini has reportedly agreed to become Roma’s next Coach.

According to Radio Radio, Gasperini will sign a three-year contract with Roma, worth €2.5m net plus bonuses.

The 61-year-old’s stock has risen immeasurably after three seasons in charge of Atalanta, turning them from relegation battlers to European contenders and Coppa Italia finalists.

The station adds negotiations were concluded with Gianluca Petrachi, who is expected to be appointed sporting director, arriving from Torino.
