According to La Repubblica, the final paperwork needed to transfer the ownership from James Pallotta to Dan Friedkin should commence between Thursday and Friday in Houston, meaning that the club could be in new hands already this weekend.

The handover has been a work in process since the American tycoon signed a letter of intent towards the end of 2019, and now the newspaper writes that the two businessmen are only formalities away from signing the deal.

A reported deal to cost Friedkin about €780m between the two parties, with €130m added in capital increase and another €110m for the balance sheet will mean that the total amount invested by Friedkin and his companies will most likely surpass €1bn.
