Milan winger Samu Castillejo has reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Getafe and should complete a move in January.

It seemed like Castillejo was leaving the Rossoneri during the summer, as Diario AS revealed he was on the verge of signing with Getafe in La Liga on transfer deadline day.

The move never materialised, and the winger stayed at Milanello, but the 26-year-old is reportedly pushing for a move.

The same Spanish newspaper claims the former Malaga and Villarreal player has reached an agreement with the club to join them when the transfer market re-opens in January.

Real Sociedad, Levante and Elche have all been linked with the attacker, but it seems like Getafe have won the chase for his signature.

Castillejo arrived at Milan in August 2018 and signed a five-year deal until June 2023. He has played 109 games with the Rossoneri, contributing 10 goals and 13 assists in the process.

  1. Why verbal abuse? Don’t get me wrong, I’m ok with fans giving it to players who deserve it sometimes and I don’t like when people are overly sensitive as this generation has become. But Samu has always fought hard for the shirt, given his all, and has been an exemplary professional. He’s just not very good that’s all. So sell him but there’s no need for abuse. Thank him for his efforts and move on.
